History

IT Family Office was founded by Thomas J. Monahan who saw a need to help keep the family the primary focus, as he was concerned by the ever-increasing consolidation in the financial services industry. This also presented an opportunity not being met by the financial services industry which could help provide forward thinking to the Family Unit Dynamic | Societal Engagement Processes for a family’s ongoing multigenerational wealth strategies. Many of the paths that are chosen by a family are in the defined or undefined family legacy narrative. Hence, that can be further optimally shaped and molded to embrace all aspects of the 21st Century within the family office structure. Some of those influencers are capital related and some service related, in this very new technologically driven time and space. In the capital related (investments) area, ESG investing, sustainable investing and private equity investments. All of this is brought together with other service-related activities like sophisticated insights into civic engagement issues for the families that are albeit, not often found as directives in all but a few wealth advisory family offices globally. Equally important, the adopted ethos of the family office molds its’ expertise and reputation continually, which promotes goodwill to the family while also to its’ civic image and to its partners that helps enhance intergenerational planning.

The goals of the office are in accordance with our ethos, we listen to your concerns and develop a comprehensive financial plan for each client. We manage your assets with the same care as the best institutional managers for this generation and the generations to come.

The returns on a portfolio consisting primarily of Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) aware investments may be lower or higher than a portfolio that is more diversified or where decisions are based solely on investment considerations. Because ESG criteria exclude some investments, investors may not be able to take advantage of the same opportunities or market trends as investors that do not use such criteria.
