Investment Approach

Investment Management

We have a customized focused approach, and we are not constrained by the use of model portfolios. Although we use growth-oriented equities, using fixed income and other asset classes for balance and stability. Our integrated investment consultant team can customize your portfolio to your unique circumstances. To ensure your investment philosophy aligns with your strategic vision when using asset classes outside U. S. equities and bonds, we consider international equities and debt, private equity, limited partnerships in private- real assets and exchange-traded funds and mutual funds.

Research and Discovery Process

The recipe for success in managing portfolios at IT Family Office comes from each principal manager we use to implement investing in in all sectors of a diversified lower risk portfolio. These managers use various institutional research providers- to generate new investment ideas. Those topical ideas are then delivered by quarterly reports on the economy, the institutional investment landscape and monthly activity reporting from each institutional portfolio manager used {in our portfolio’s investment process practices}. Our overall portfolio approach allows each portfolio manager to appropriately, while also significantly, decide the investments relative to each client’s, strategic mission, vision, specific needs, and existing assets. Accordingly, under a higher standard of prudence and standard of fiduciary care, they then implement those ideas.

Flexible Investment Options in Equities, Fixed Income and Other Investment Classes

Strategic Equity: We offer a variety of investment vehicles and strategies to help each client implement their mission value and goals. Strategic Equity: Active equity strategies including strategies for concentrated positions and low basis stock. We also use diversification by limiting equity sector weightings and work on limiting the size of individual holdings.

Corporate Executives (C-Suite Executives)

Determining when to exercise your options and protecting concentrated securities positions can be overwhelming. As an executive who has been granted various equity awards (stock options, RSU’s, restricted stock or concentrated stock positions) putting together a strategy can be challenging. Therefore, collaborative planning is necessary by scheduling a meeting with us; we can better plan your choices to help tax efficiency and enhancing optimal compounded returns.

Fixed Income: Investment in fixed income will be taxable or non-taxable. We use institutional bond managers in corporate bond strategies and municipal bond strategies. These mangers use a “ladder approach” of bonds. Maturities are stretched over a number of years in diversified investment grade bonds.

Investment Capabilities

We use distinctive outside managers for our active equity, fixed income and multi-asset class capabilities and for our fundamental, systematic and thematic allocations. Examples of outside managers are Global and International, U.S., Non-U.S., U.S. Small Cap, U.S. SMID Cap managers.

Monitoring and Portfolio Rebalancing

We conduct regular reviews to help ensure that clients’ portfolios are closely aligned with their investment objectives and are appropriately positioned based on the current macroenvironment.

Taxes

Capital gains are just a necessary part of a portfolio. We monitor net taxable capital realized gains within the client’s tolerance level. This overall tolerance level mitigates and ensures tax liabilities and consequences come as no unexpected surprises. Although, we try not to have tax consequences dominate the investment the client’s investment decisions.

Investment Committee

This committee formally is each portfolio manager IT Family Office uses. IT Family Office will strive to pursue professionally managed portfolios that are: Sustainable, Mission-Aligned, Diversified, using Reasonably Priced Management, and as always embracing a Disciplined Approach.
